You see, we enjoy a variety of activities with our dogs, from showing to carting, hiking, and training. Amidst this schedule we will plan an occassional litter. The last thing we want to do however, is to make our wonderful foundation bitch into a puppy factory! When planning a litter, we analyze the horizontal pedigrees of both sire and dam for significant relations and degree of inbreeding . In addition, we try to keep records of vertical pedigrees (in other words, how the brothers and sisters of our Sire and Dam turned out) and match sire and dam to complement one another based upon health, conformation, pedigree analysis, and other factors. This research/analysis, planning, and record keepting is accomplished using KennelPro software.
