My 416 Rigby is another very fine rifle. It is a Ruger no.1-H (Tropical). The ballistics shown below use 400gr Barnes banded solid bullets in a Norma factory load. The 416 is a legendary caliber designed for the large, dangerous game of Africa. I visited Africa years ago and would like to return someday to hunt the Cape Buffalo and plains game like the Kudu, Oryx (Gemsbok), and Zebra.

You can view a video that my son, Dustin and I put together just after I returned from that trip.

Note: All velocities were measured using an Oehler model 33 Chronograph. Ballistics were calculated (and web files were generated) using Ballis-tec software.
